The Women of Color Initiative Justice Fellows

ProGeorgia's Women of Color (WOC) Initiative is an eight-month fellowship that trains Women of Color in social justice and civic engagement work.  The Initiative is designed to ensure that the voices of women of color are front and center as we build a more equitable Georgia. The work planned for the Social Justice Fellowship focuses on civic engagement or issues related to social change.

The Women of Color Justice Fellows are committed to social change and making a difference in improving the life circumstances of all people.

Characteristics of the Fellows:
All the Fellows demonstrated a variety of leadership qualities, have a vision for change and are willing to think through strategies to improve outcomes for all people in the state of Georgia. They are capable of promoting collaboration and cooperation across disciplines and among diverse groups. They innovate, take and manage risks, listen and learn, inspire others, and often persevere against numerous odds. The Women of Color Initiative Justice Fellows translate their beliefs into action, think strategically, and get things done.
